Questions some teachers ask about teaching at Bishop Ryan...

1. Do I need to be Catholic? No, about 20% of our students and 15% of our staff members are not Catholic. 
2. Is there teacher support for students who are struggling within the classroom? Yes, we have Special Education services from Minot Public Schools, a full-time special education strategist, and instructional aides who all provide additional support for students and teachers.
3. Am I responsible for teaching Catholicism? No, just like we have a music and gym teacher, we also have a faith formation teacher. Our classroom teachers are responsible for supporting and affirming Catholicism and virtue.
4. What is the class size? The average class size is about 15 students.
5. Is there retirement? Yes, we are part of a 401k and match 5%.
6. Would I have a teaching partner in my grade level? Yes, each grade has at least two or three classrooms per grade level.

Beginning teacher salary is $40,650.
