TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 92.5-day contract
LOCATION: St. Ann's Catholic School
EVALUATION: As required by NDSCC and Belcourt School District #7 policy
QUALIFICATIONS: The applicants must meet the qualifications for the position.
North Dakota Certified Elementary Education Teaching License.
Successful applicants must have a favorable background check according to district policy.

Computer Skills:
Can navigate using web browsers; can execute web searches and communicate via email. Understands basic file manipulation (open, edit, save, copy, cut, paste) and printing of documents. Can effectively utilize office related applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Publisher, AppleWorks, Lotus, Notepad, Wordpad, WordPerfect). Has knowledge of and ability to utilize local and network accounts. Can navigate/effectively use peripherals (e.g., interactive whiteboard, projectors, cameras, printers, pda, etc.). Possesses knowledge and ability to access and navigate web-based applications. Has knowledge or experience using student and other information system(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meets with and instructs assigned Title I reading intervention students in the locations and at the times designated.
Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of Title I students.
Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior, order, and procedure; maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner; strives to contain disciplinary actions within the individual classroom with only major offenses referred to administration.
Develops and maintains a classroom environment to meet the school’s curriculum objectives and North Dakota State Standards and Benchmarks within the limits of available resources.
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of (and in harmony with) curriculum goals and North Dakota State Pre-K Standards and Benchmarks establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and other activities to communicate these objectives to students.
Prepares/shares/publishes lesson plans (as required by administration) to provide a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students within the parameters of the school’s vision, mission, and established objectives.
Designs and administers proper tools of evaluation that motivate and enable each student to achieve learning objectives.
Participates in Individual Educational Plan (IEP)/504 meetings as needed assisting with diagnosing, referring, and prescribing solutions to meet the academic and social needs of students with disabilities.
Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law, district policy, and established administrative procedures (e.g., individual student progress, grades, attendance, and discipline).
Promotes and provides open communication with parent(s) or legal guardian of students through established parent/teacher conferences and/or through intermittent written or verbal contact.
Requests acquisition of appropriate supplies, books, and equipment necessary to reach instructional objectives.
Takes necessary and reasonable precautions and actions to provide for student safety and to protect equipment, materials, and facilities.
Monitors student progress data to ensure effective implementation of curriculum and instruction.
Research and administer effective assessment for students who are at risk in the area of reading.
Provides appropriate, timely, and consistent interventions for Title I Reading Intervention students
Prepares all reports and collects all documents required by Title I rules and regulations.
Is familiar with and abides by applicable confidentiality, privacy, FERPA, FLSA, and HIPPA regulations.
Conducts family engagement activities for families of Title I students at least twice per year.
Participates in St. Ann’s Catholic school meetings to provide input and updates to principal and BSD Federal Programs Officer.
RANGE OF SALARY: Based on S1/S2 or Teacher Salary Schedule 2025/2026
