Job Description:
LOCATION: West Dakota Parent and Family Resource Center
JOB GOAL: To perform duties in such a manner as to contribute to an environment of cooperative, supportive and positive working relationships with coworkers, parents and families.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Enjoys children, parents and families and is able to see their individual needs and differences as important assets.
Requires minimum equivalent of high school diploma.
Keyboarding skills: Minimum of 50 wpm recommended.
Good general understanding of computer applications including word, canva, powerpoint, databases, spreadsheet, and web program used within district, and also social media venues, and other programs as requested.
Excellent communication skills, positive attitude and must be able to work well with Director, parents, staff members, and community members and agenies.
Such additions may be added to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Partners in Parenting Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all duties as assigned by the Director including:
Create and design monthly newsletter for schools, daycares, coordinating agencies, surrounding communities
Coordinate newsletter printing schedule with printer, coordinate with volunteers for volunteering to fold newsletter, coordinate for preparation of bulk mail
Input survey results from parent education classes into database
Maintain general office files, reports, and records.
Register participants in parent education sessions, make reminder calls about sessions, follow up with families as requested
Organize, plan and implement meals for any parent sessions as needed
Work at times some evenings if needed for the Gearing UP programs, including Preschool, Kindergarten, Middle School and High School ( program schedules are to be determined based on school schedule)
Create, Organize and Prepare public service announcements, social media and all forms of advertising for all programming
Answering phone and directing calls, taking messages
Organize and maintain and upkeep the main office area and the parent education/children's classrooms
Prepare needed reports, input data for all Homeless and Foster Care as requested
Order office materials, program information/materials, meal supplies
Training provided in all educational programs offered at the Center, for background knowledge and possible facilitation.
Exhibit a positive attitude and personal motivation.
Resolve differences constructively using tact and courtesy at all times.
Other duties as needed and assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 32 hours/week for Partners in Parenting. The daily start time is 8:00 a.m. for an 8-hour day, Monday through Thursday, unless otherwise coordinated with Director.
EVALUATION: A performance review will be conducted annually in accordance with the provisions established by the Dickinson Public Schools administration and the Board.

Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and Dickinson Public Schools in accordance with the Classified Salary & Benefit Package.
