Location: Ellendale Public School, Ellendale, ND
Job Type: Full-Time | 10-Month Contract (with additional stipend for extended FFA duties, possible)
Reports To: MS/HS Principal Cindy Rall

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Family and Consumer Science (FACS) Teacher and FCCLA Advisor to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire and prepare students with practical life skills and career readiness in areas such as nutrition and wellness, culinary arts, human development, consumer education, housing and interior design, textiles, and career exploration.

Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Duties:
Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned curriculum in agriculture and related CTE pathways.
Teach a variety of FACS courses such as Independent Living, Culinary Arts, Child Development, Nutrition, and other possible courses.
Incorporate hands-on learning and project-based activities.
Integrate employability skills, leadership development, and real-world agricultural practices into instruction.
Maintain accurate and timely records including grades, assessments, and student progress.

FCCLA Advising:
Serve as the lead advisor for the school's FCCLA chapter.
Plan and oversee chapter meetings, events, leadership conferences, and competitions.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and national FCCLA requirements.

Qualifications:
Required:
Valid North Dakota teaching credential in FACS or the ability to obtain one.
Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends for FCCLA events.

Compensation:
Salary based on district salary schedule and experience.
Additional stipend for FCCLA advisory responsibilities.
Professional development opportunities and support for credentialing.
