Job Description:

0.8 FTE Music Teacher (High School/Middle School) 

Wahpeton Public Schools is seeking a 0.8 FTE Music Teacher to serve both the high school and middle school music programs.  

Requires Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Music and Ability to Obtain Appropriate ND Teaching Certification Prior to August 14, 2026

Primary Responsibilities: 
Team teach High School Concert Choir, Freshman Choir, and High School Concert Band, supporting daily instruction, sectionals, solo/ensemble preparation, honor group auditions, concert preparation, and tour/fundraising efforts.
Collaborate in Jazz Band instruction (2 days per week), assisting with skill development, recruitment, and program sustainability.
Assist with High School Guitar Class, supporting instruction and leadership development opportunities for students.
Provide a Middle School lesson block to support individual and small group instruction, assist with choir sectionals and audition preparation, and support fundraising efforts connected to tour participation.
Team teach 7th/8th Grade Band to strengthen instructional support and program continuity.
Fulfill professional responsibilities including preparation, administrative duties, collaboration with colleagues, and active involvement in program planning.
