Starting Date: Jul 1, 2026

Mandan Public Schools is now hiring a full-time Business Coordinator. This is a 12-month position that includes a comprehensive benefit package for employees working 30 or more hours per week.

Position Type: Full-Time; 12-month

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs administrative, clerical, and financial support duties for the assigned unit. Responsibilities include involvement in a variety of special projects requiring research and analysis; monitoring organizational policies, standards, and timelines; communicating with internal and external contacts; and preparing formal reports, grants, budgets, fiscal reports, and related documentation. The position serves as a central point of contact and provides clerical support to the Administrator, Board, and staff.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Participates in special projects requiring research, data collection, and analysis
Monitors organizational policies, procedures, standards, and timelines for compliance
Prepares and maintains financial records, including budgets, grants, and fiscal reports
Develops and maintains reports and documentation related to departmental operations
Serves as a central point of contact for internal and external communications
Provides clerical and administrative support to the Administrator, Board, and staff
Maintains databases and ensures accuracy and confidentiality of records
Communicates effectively with staff, stakeholders, and the public
Supports the relationship between Mandan Public Schools and the public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior
Maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and district information
Performs related duties as assigned

Qualifications
Bookkeeping/accounting experience required
Preference given for experience in business and data systems
Proficient Intermediate level required for Excel and Microsoft Word
Extensive knowledge of database programs; preferably STARS, Tienet, and PowerSchool
Ability to handle a multitude of issues/responsibilities with attention to detail and minimal supervision
Requires strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be self-directed and highly motivated

Other:

Salary: $26.99 to $29.79 per hour (salary based on school year 2025-2026 Mandan Public School District rates; school year 2026-2027 rates are yet to be determined).
