Job Description:

Location: Pingree-Buchanan Elementary and Secondary Schools
Reports To: Superintendent
Start Date: July 27th, 2026
FTE: Full-Time
Contract: 220-day administrator contract

Position Summary: 
Pingree-Buchanan School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered K–12 Principal to lead our school community. The successful candidate will provide strong instructional leadership, foster a positive school culture, and support the academic and social-emotional growth of all students in a small, rural setting.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field
Valid North Dakota Principal Credential (or ability to obtain)
Successful teaching and/or administrative experience
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a small school environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a K–12 or rural school setting
Knowledge of MTSS, RTI, and school improvement processes
Experience with teacher evaluation systems
