High School Agricultural Education Instructor
Location: Southwest Area CTE Academy - Dickinson, ND
Contract: 200 Days
Start Date: August 2026

Position Overview:
The Southwest Area CTE Academy (SWCTE) is seeking a passionate and dynamic Agricultural Education Instructor to join our innovative and student-centered Career and Technical Education team. This full-time position includes a 200-day contract and offers the unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment committed to providing students with hands-on, real-world learning experiences.

Program Highlights:
This is a multi-teacher program that continues to grow and expand. The SWCTE Academy proudly opened newly renovated agricultural education spaces this past school year, providing students and staff with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance instruction and learning opportunities.

Courses Offered:
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging instruction in a variety of agriculture-related subjects. Our current offerings include: Small Animal Care, Animal Science, Horticulture, Agricultural Mechanics, Agricultural Business, Environmental and Natural Resources, Equine Science, and Intro to Agriculture. 
Teaching assignments will be finalized based on the strengths and expertise of the selected applicant.

Additional Opportunity:
An Assistant FFA Advisor role is available in conjunction with this position. This is a great opportunity to help shape the next generation of agricultural leaders through co-curricular FFA involvement.

Qualifications:
Valid North Dakota teaching license (or ability to obtain) in Agricultural Education
Strong content knowledge in agriculture and related fields
Demonstrated ability to engage students in project-based and hands-on learning
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Passion for student development through classroom and FFA activities

SALARY: Will be determined off the 2025-2027 Professional Negotiated Agreement. The current salary range is $48,922 - $69,047 depending on education and experience.
