Job Description:

Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for an Instruction Aide with BECEP working in Early Childhood Special Education.
 
This position entails working with children ages 3 to 5 with disabilities in a preschool classroom at BECEP.   

Work hours would be 7:15 AM to 3:30 PM Monday- Thursday with a half-hour lunch.

RESPONSIBILITIES:        
1.  Will know, understand, and support the approved Personnel Policies and

Procedures of BECEP and Bismarck Public Schools.

2.  Will participate in daily planning, implementing, and evaluating classroom

activities and child performance with the classroom teacher.

3. Will work with individuals or groups of children, without direct supervision, in the

classroom or on the playground.

4.  Will assist the teacher with the supervision and care of children during

designated school hours.

5. Will assist in the preparation and serving of snack as requested.

6. Will assist the children with loading and unloading buses, dressing, toileting,

diapering, washing, and other activities as needed.

7. Will assist the substitute teacher and ensure children’s needs are being met in

the absence of the teacher.

8. Will be responsible for all assigned documentation.

9. Will maintain confidentiality regarding BECEP children and families.

10. Will communicate all child information and questions to the teacher.

11. Will be aware of and follow all safety and emergency procedures.

12. Will act as a positive, contributing team member in working with staff.

13. Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
High School/Trade School degree preferred.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Salary: $20.45 to $20.45 Per Hour
