Position Title: Computer and Network Specialist III

Hiring Range: $6,033 - $7,039 monthly

Status: Full-time classified 12-month position

Summary of Work

  • Manage the agency/school network system, video conferencing and phone system.
  • Maintain, repair and replace technology, audio visual equipment, videoconferencing, and telephone.
  • Research and maintain current agency's information technology plan.
  • Providing technical support in the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of computer workstations and local area network operating systems.
  • Closely work with all departments in meeting their technology and technology training needs.
  • Security camera system monitoring, keeping system up to date and working, and trouble shoot cameras and camera access.
  • Collaborate with Facilities related to equipment installation and wiring.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn technologies that are Deaf-specific and ability to teach these technologies to staff. 
  • Incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into agency/school setting, creating policy, and training teachers/staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a computer science field and three years of work experience with network system installation and maintenance.
  • High school diploma or GED and applicable experience equaling a BA+ experience
  • Associates degree and applicable experience to the equal of a BA+
  • Master's degree may substitute for one year of required experience
