Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for a Dance and Drill Coach at Wachter Middle School.

Position Summary
The Head Dance & Drill Coach is responsible for leading the Wachter Middle School Dance & Drill Team by developing students' dance skills, teamwork, leadership, and school spirit in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
Plan and conduct practices and performances.
Teach dance technique and choreograph age-appropriate routines.
Supervise students during all team activities.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and administration.
Maintain uniforms, equipment, and team records.
Follow all Bismarck Public Schools and NDHSAA policies and procedures.
Complete assigned duties as directed by the principal or activities director.

Qualifications
Dance, drill, or coaching experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with middle school students.
Completion of required district coaching certifications and background check.

Reports To
Middle School Athletic Director
 
Please note - Coaches who hold a ND teaching license - wages are reportable to the North Dakota Teacher's Fund for Retirement (TFFR).  The employee (coach) will contribute 11.75% of their salary and the District will contribute 12.75%.

Position Type: Part-Time

Job Requirements
High School/Trade School degree preferred.

Salary: $3,599 to $4,859 Per Year
