Job Description:
Location: RASP- Hagen Building
Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits
Schedule: 12 months per year; 18 hours per week. Preferred availability during RASP hours (3:00-5:45), but willing to be flexible on schedule.
Purpose of the Position
The RASP Administrative Assistant provides consistent administrative support that helps keep the day-to-day operations of the program organized and moving forward. By assuming ownership of many routine administrative responsibilities, this position creates additional capacity for RASP leadership to focus on staff support and development, students and families, program planning, quality, and continued growth.
Qualifications
Enjoys working with children and recognizes their individual needs and differences as important assets.
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education in a job-related area preferred.
Strong keyboarding and general computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and shared digital resources.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively and build positive relationships with students, families, staff, district personnel, and community partners.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively.
Such additional qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Performance Responsibilities
Administrative & Program Support
Provide administrative and clerical support to the RASP Director, Assistant Director, and program.
Answer phones, monitor program email, and assist with routine communication.
Maintain general office files, reports, records, supplies, and shared digital resources.
Prepare letters, schedules, forms, announcements, reports, spreadsheets, and other program documents.
Prepare and organize materials for meetings, staff trainings, events, and other program needs.
Help keep administrative projects and routine processes organized and moving forward.
Student & Family Support
Welcome and assist students, families, staff, and visitors.
Assist families with student enrollment and registration.
Maintain enrollment records, waitlists, and other student documentation.
Respond to routine parent questions and direct more complex concerns to appropriate program leadership.
Assist with attendance reporting, including state reporting responsibilities as training and experience allow.
Hiring & Staff Support
Assist with applicant screening and interview preparation.
Schedule interviews and coordinate applicant communication.
Support new employee onboarding, badge requests, and required documentation.
Maintain organized hiring and personnel records.
Financial Support
Code invoices/bills for Director approval.
Organize receipts, purchasing documentation, and financial records.
Assist with budget tracking and other routine financial documentation as assigned.
General
Build positive working relationships with the RASP team and serve as a day-to-day administrative resource for staff.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling student, family, employee, and program information.
Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Salary: $19.75 - $24.75 DOE
