Job Description:

Light of Christ Catholic Schools is seeking a Lead Kids Club Team Leader to lead the after-school program at Saint Anne Elementary School and work with children ages 4-10.  This position is responsible for promoting the development care of each Kids Club Kid (Kid) and will also be responsible to help Kids grow spiritually and socially in a Christ-centered environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities  

1. Supports the philosophy of the Catholic education and teach, advocate, encourage, counsel and witness in keeping with the beliefs and practices of the Catholic faith and teachers. Strive to serve as a role model for participants in their spiritual growth. 
2. Serves as the on-site supervisor for the elementary school they are assigned to. 
3. Assists in the coordination and supervision of Kid’s Club activities and staff. 
4. Provides participants with the appropriate leadership during the program to maintain a safe environment for students and staff. 
5. Develops, plans, and organizes activities, games and crafts that incorporate program goals into the daily routine. Works with the Director/Administration to obtain approval for any activities, games or crafts not already approved and for purchasing any additional supplies needed.
6. Maintains open communication between Kids Club staff and leadership. 
7. Responds to questions that arise with the parents by answering them or by giving parents the proper directions for obtaining the answers. 
8. Attends staff or training meetings.
9. Maintains a positive attitude toward staff and the school.
10. Reports any problems which arise with Kids, other employees, or the school to the leadership. 
11. Assists with Kid’s Club Behavior Reporting forms that need to be completed and retains these forms for future reference.
12. Proactively responds to any issues and concerns regarding the school. 
13. Makes recommendations to leadership for improvement related to equipment, supplies, facility, and program needs. 
14. Maintains strict confidentiality on private matters pertaining to Kids and staff. 
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Possesses basic knowledge and understanding of school aged children.
• Good computer skills and strong human relations skills. 
• Must be honest, reliable, accurate, have a neat appearance, and a courteous manner.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Maintains ethical behavior in all interactions. 
• Able to develop effective working relationships with others.
• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and verbal instructions.
• Able to multi-task and read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Able to deal with problems involving several variables. 

Working Environment/Physical Demands

The employee regularly works indoors/outdoors. The noise level in the work environment varies from moderate to loud.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use finger dexterity.  The employee is occasionally required to kneel, crouch, stoop, reach, bend, twist, and lift up to 25 pounds. 

Location & Schedule

Saint Anne Elementary School; Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 5:30pm when school is in session.
