Job Description:

Salary: $41,574 Base Salary (Permanent) + Please contact the school for a list of benefits.
The Elgin/New Leipzig School District is looking for a highly qualified, energetic, and passionate elementary teacher. This position is a full-time permanent position starting in August of 2024. 

This individual will educate the children in their care by creating and implementing lesson plans, grading assignments, communicating with parents/guardians, and collaborate with their peers to create a positive and effective environment.  

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Working in small groups and large groups

• Meeting with parents/guardians to discuss the positives and negatives of their child's education and behavior

• Creating a safe and effective learning environment

• Supervising students during various activities such as music concerts, lunch, recess, etc.

• Building positive relationships with their students in classroom, other staff, and administration

• Assigning lessons

• Grading assignments

• Creating lesson plans
