SUMMARY
Under basic supervision, delivers and receives food, supplies, and materials; and maintains warehouse.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Receives food and supplies for warehouse stock inventory, reconciles packing list with purchase order,
and inspects deliveries for damages.
• Organizes and rotates stock in the warehouse, stacks and stores materials in designated areas.
• Cleans building and equipment, and performs special assignments as directed.
• Prints and posts orders for delivery of food and materials; pulls stock, and stages material for loading
onto delivery vehicles.
• Delivers food and supplies to school kitchens; follows strict time schedules, while keeping within safety
standards and traffic regulations at all times.
• Operates a vehicle to deliver and pick up supplies and materiel; loads and unloads delivery vehicle.
• Performs daily vehicle inspection and cleaning, and operates MPS vehicles in accordance with all
traffic laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Completes all required written reports and activity logs.
• Reports safety hazards, equipment problems, and emergency situations.
• Reports unsafe acts, road conditions, accidents, and injuries; responds to emergencies as needed.
• Supports the relationship between the Minot Public School District and the general public by
demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with clients, visitors, and District
staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and District information;
follows compliance rules governing child abuse; performs related duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training and Experience Guidelines
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND one year of commercial driving experience; OR an
equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge of:
• MPS policies and procedures.
• State and federal regulations governing public transportation.
• Safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards, safety precautions, and safe driving techniques
in all road conditions.
• Local geographical area, road systems, and city and state traffic regulations.
Skill in:
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner, in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Reacting quickly to situations that could create safety and security problems.
• Maintaining food deliveries according to MPS standards, and food safety rules and regulations.
• Following and enforcing safe work practices and safety standards.
• Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers.
• Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A valid North Dakota State Driver’s License is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a transit vehicle in a traffic environment, with moderate physical requirements; may
be required to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
