Job Description:

This position works during the summer months through late fall/early winter until the first frost (May through October).

Candidates must be comfortable with operating and towing large mowing equipment.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED

2. Must have a valid driver’s license.

3. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds

Job Goal:

To provide necessary services throughout the Bismarck School District - servicing, maintaining, and repairing facilities, grounds, and equipment.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for the safe operation of hand and power tools.

2. Move and deliver various equipment.

3. Operate light construction equipment such as light front-end loaders, backhoes, light industrial tractors, and equipment used in the construction, repair, and maintenance of buildings, playgrounds, and other structures.

4. Assemble and install athletic and other equipment.

5. Care of athletic fields.

6. Perform various unskilled tasks of a simple nature in order to assist other workers.

7. Maintain grounds by performing any of the following: cutting trees; trimming and edging around walks, flower beds and walls; pruning shrubs and trees; spraying lawns, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer or pesticide; cleaning or sweeping parking lots; planting, watering, cleaning, painting, repairing, and other related tasks.

8. General building repairs and maintenance.

9. Responsible for security of materials and supplies.

10. Operations of riding lawn mowers.

11. Operation of painting equipment for parking lots.

12. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Salary Grade: SK on the Support Staff salary schedule

Salary Range -$20.67 - $20.67 / Per Hour

Shift Type -Full-Time
