K-12 Guidance Counselor

Eight Mile School District (Trenton)

Based on teacher contract, experience & education

District funds the entire 11.75% TFFR employee contribution, as well as the 12.75% employer contribution.

Almost fully paid single health insurance

On campus housing may be available

Trenton is a small community about 15 miles south and west of Williston, ND in the heart of the vibrant "oil patch" region. In addition, we are a small school with roughly 330 students in grades K-12 in the same building.

Trenton provides a regionally competitive salary based on years of teaching experience and educational background; excellent benefits including roughly 90% of single health insurance paid by the district; and on-campus and near-campus housing for those who would like to live close, at far below local rental costs and with all utility costs paid by the district. In addition to this, Trenton pays both shares of teacher retirement, which currently comes to 24.5% of the teacher's monthly salary provided at no cost to the teacher. 

Qualifications:

1. Licensed by the State of North Dakota as a school counselor.
2. Strong general academic background.
3. Knowledge of the skills and attitudes students need to achieve academic success, college and career readiness, and social/emotional development.
4. Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.
