Job Description:
Key Responsibilities Financial & Grant Management Reporting & Compliance
● Maintain accurate financial records for all funds, including grants.
● Prepare monthly financial reports and budget comparisons.
● Develop and monitor the annual budget.
● Prepare annual financial reports and support audits.
● Manage cash flow and perform bank reconciliations.
● Respond to financial inquiries and audit requests.
Payroll, Tax & Regulatory Compliance and Benefits Administration
● Process monthly payroll and ensure accurate wages and deductions.
● Submit required payroll reports (TFFR, NDPERS, EFTPS).
● Coordinate employee benefits and ensure payments are correct.
● Prepare and distribute W-2s and 1099s.
● File quarterly IRS, state, and unemployment reports.
● Maintain compliance with financial and payroll regulations.
Administrative Support
● Prepare board financial materials, maintain organized financial records, generate reports as requested.
Qualifications & Key Skills
● Preferred but not Required degree in Accounting, Business, or related field with experience in school or government finance
● Knowledge of accounting systems & Excel with strong organizational and communication skills
● Attention to detail, self-starter, problem solver, independent harder worker
Work Environment & Salary
● 12- month part-time, flexible schedule, including virtual with increased hours during peak periods.
o Approximately 20-30 hours/month
● Hourly Salary Based on Experience with a starting range of $35.00/hour
