Souris Valley Special Services (SVSS) is a special education unit that serves 18 rural school districts between Kenmare and Glenburn to the north and Wilton to the south. Therefore, successful applicant for this position does not need to live in the Minot area to be considered. All qualified OTRs or COTA/Ls are encouraged to apply.  

SVSS is currently accepting applications for a Certified Occupational Therapist, or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.  Applicant will participate in and provide various aspects of direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students ages 3-21 within SVSS.

Minimum Qualifications:                Board certification
                                                          Valid driver's license

Reports to:                                     SVSS Director of Special Education

Travel:                                            Travel is required

The successful applicant must have:

• North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice license as a COTR or a COTA/L.
• A minimum of one year experience in either an educational or hospital setting as a COTR or a COTA.
• Strong collaboration and team building skills.
• The ability to work with diverse groups as well as independently.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft word, excel, etc.).
• Their own vehicle, travel costs are reimbursed at current state rate.
